Down the rabbit hole

Oh snap! Welcome to the dark side šŸ™‚

On this page Iā€™m going to show you what to do to be able to travel forever.

Hereā€™s the thingā€¦

There are a million ways to make money while traveling. Earl from WanderingEarl.com gives you 42 ways here if you are curious.

Thatā€™s right, what Iā€™m going to show you isnā€™t the only way to do this. Far from it.

If you want to run off and go work on a cruise ship or give haircuts in hostels then do it.

Seriously. All I care about is that you are making your travel dreams a reality. Because #screwthecubicle.

But Iā€™m not going to show you how to give haircuts in hostels because I donā€™t know how.

Instead Iā€™m going to show you what I do know how to do. Itā€™s what I do. Itā€™s what you can do too if you stick with me.

And guess what?

It is the fastest way that I know to go from slaving in the cubicle to working from a hammock in Bali.

The current record is 28 days btwā€¦

And heā€™s actually in Hawaii not Bali but, you know, minor details.

Okay before I get to it letā€™s talk about the elephant in the roomā€¦

The #1 biggest excuse I hear from would-be life-long travelers goes something like thisā€¦

ā€œI wish I could do what you do but Iā€™m not very tech savvy.ā€

or more simplyā€¦

ā€œIā€™m just not good at computers.ā€

If this is you, then you are what is known as a technophobe ā€“ you are scared of technologyā€¦

ā€¦and for some technophobes there is just no way theyā€™ll ever be a ā€œcomputer person.ā€

Not going to happen. Never. Canā€™t do it. {their words not mine}

If thatā€™s you ā€“ if thatā€™s your mindset ā€“ then I canā€™t help youā€¦

ā€¦on the other handā€¦

If you can get over your fear and follow a few simple steps I will help you shed the technophobe title forever.

Sound good?

Okay here we go.

Hereā€™s the big secret. Hereā€™s what you need to do to travel forever:

Learn to make simple, beautiful websites and start freelancing

What?! Did you think I was going to give you something generic like ā€œlearn a marketable skillā€?

Think again!!

Instead Iā€™m giving you something specific: web design.

Itā€™s what I do for a living and itā€™s what Iā€™ve been showing a bunch of other cool cats to do to. People like you and me. People that want to flip off the 9-to-5 and get on the next plane to the other side of the world.

Why web design?

Iā€™m glad you asked šŸ™‚

Hereā€™s why web design is the absolute perfect skill to learn to earn an income that travels with you:

Reason #1: There are an almost infinite number of web design jobs

A lot of people get stuck here. ā€œThereā€™s too much competitionā€ they say. ā€œNot enough jobs.ā€

But is that true? Letā€™s take a quick look.

Iā€™m going to need you to help me here if thatā€™s cool.

Okay picture the main downtown area in the city you are currently living in. Donā€™t close your eyes though. Youā€™ll need them open to read this šŸ™‚

Back to your cityā€™s downtownā€¦

Picture the busiest street in your city.

Iā€™m talking about the street with the most businesses. Restaurants. Bars. Laundromats. Lawyers Offices. You know the street.

Now I want you to think about every business on that street. Do they already have a website? If they do does it suck?

Iā€™d be willing to bet that there are more than a handful of businesses just on one block of that one streeet that have either no website or a terrible one.

Now add in all of the other businesses in your city that fall into the same category. And then multiply that by every town in the U.S.

Thatā€™s A LOT of websites that need building!!!

And thatā€™s just the U.S. With the technology we have now this is a global game.

Reason #2: A website is just the beginning

When you build a website for a client itā€™s like a sneak attack that the business owner doesnā€™t see coming.

You see each of those businesses is exactly that: a business.

That means that after you build them a website you are very likely to get a call that goes something like this:

Biz owner: ā€œHey the website looks great but I was wonderingā€¦do you know anything about Instagram?ā€

You: ā€œAs a matter of fact I do. Do you need some help with your Instagram marketing?ā€

Biz owner: ā€œYeah that would be great and while you are at it can you put some blog posts on my site?ā€

You: **muahahaha! This is all going according to plan!** ā€Ø😈😈😈

See? A funny thing happens when you get your foot in the door with a business owner.

Now they associate you with ā€œall things techā€. Congratulations, you have officially become their tech guy/gal.

Reason #3: You can learn web development in a crazy short period of time

This isnā€™t about becoming the best web designer in the world. Thatā€™s a near impossible goal.

The funny thing about web development though is that everyone assumes you need to spend four years in college learning how to ā€œcodeā€ and then every waking hour after that sipping Mountain Dew and hacking your way to a six-figure a year job.

Peel back the curtain a little bit though and you realize that isnā€™t reality.

Sure to go work at Google or Facebook youā€™ll need a degree or an insane level of skills.

But we arenā€™t trying to work at Google or Facebook.

We are trying to make $60/day from anywhere in the world.

And guess what?

You can get your skills up to that level in almost no time.

Iā€™m talking a few weeks here. A few months at most.

Remember the record is 28 daysā€¦

And Joshua, the record holder, had ZERO web experience when he started.

Actually he called himself a ā€œtechnophobeā€ without me asking. LOL. Check it out:

You see? Even someone with no computer experience can make this work.

So the question isn’t can you do this…

The question is can you beat Joshua’s record?
